Gail has been an advertising agency president, public relations director, radio and television personality and executive, and college professor. As marketing strategist and professional speaker, Gail has worked with top national and international firms. She is the author of the Quick-Study Guides to strategic business communication, and has published materials ranging from books and articles for the popular market to highly technical material for specialized audiences.

She has earned both graduate and undergraduate degrees in communication, focusing on business applications of communication theory, methods, and techniques. Gail was a founding director of the Oregon Writers Colony, has served on numerous professional boards, and was among the first recipients nationwide of the Certified Business Communicator designation. She was elected delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business in Washington, D.C.
